We’ve been keeping our eyes peeled for local farmers’ markets along the way, and we finally hit one in Polson, Montana last Friday. We took home a good haul, including fresh veggies, eggs, meat and bread, plus a gooey caramel nut cinnamon roll for breakfast.
I’m really impressed with the amount of local food that’s available in the supermarkets here. I’ve been able to buy local milk, butter, cheese, and most importantly, beer, all at the grocery store!
We’ve been enjoying the cheap, readily available wine and beer as we travel. I love our crown corps, but $7 for a bottle of wine (that would normally cost $20 to $30 back home) while on a tight travel budget is a blessing!
